The 2006 maze was the first maze actually designed by Angie herself. Her sons, at the time 8 and 4, were obsessed with all things dinosaur. She thought it would be cool to make it look like the T.Rex was trying to eat the farm.
The actual design of the T.Rex was based on Sue, the largest and most complete T.Rex specimen ever discovered. Sue is on display at the Field Museum in Chicago if you would like to give her a visit!
From 2006 onwards, the maze would continue to be designed personally by Angie every year. Angie’s maze designs are the cornerstone of what makes Treinen Farm mazes so incredible and that truly started with the T.Rex Maze.
